New Project at Shildon Town Council Officers

2nd February 2023 By victoriadavies

Shildon’s Baby Bank

We have a very exciting new project here at the Council offices, we want to support families within the community by providing a ‘Baby Bank’. It is only a small facility that will provide small essentials for babies, new-born to the age of 12 months.

We acknowledge that these are difficult and challenging times and hope to provide support to families at moments of challenge and hardship.

This will rely on donations and below is what you can donate:

  • Preloved baby clothes up to the age of 12 months (must be in good condition and laundered prior to drop off) We are in need of Girls and unisex items in particular.
  • Disposable nappies (up to 12 months) and wipes
  • Baby toiletries (in their original packaging and unused)
  • Bottles and accessories (in their original packaging and unused)
  • Small handheld toys (in their original packaging and unused)

The items received will help the local community and give to families who are in urgent need of help whilst preventing waste going to landfill. We hope you can help us make this project a success.

Please drop off at the Town Council Offices Monday – Friday between the hours of 10am – 2pm

Working in Partnership with Shildon Alive and Jubilee Fields Community Centre.
