The kinds of SEN that are provided for:

At St John’s CE (Aided) Primary School, we have experience of supporting children and young people with a wide range of need including:

  • General Learning Difficulties – children whose learning progresses at a slower pace
  • MLD – Moderate Learning Difficulties
  • SPLD – Specific Learning Difficulties
  • SLD – Severe Learning Difficulties
  • Speech and Language Difficulties
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties which can lead to Behavioural Difficulties
  • Developmental, Co-ordination Difficulties (DCD)
  • Dyslexia (difficulties with reading, writing and spelling)
  • Dyscalculia (difficulties with numeracy)
  • Dyspraxia (problems with motor skills, organisation)
  • Autism
  • Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) – Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
