Support for Emotional & Social Development

At St. John’s Lisa Turnbull is a trained councillor who can support children and families through many Social, Emotional, Mental, Health issues.  We call this ‘Time for Children’ and can be accessed as and when needed.

Wendy Clark is experienced in working with children who have additional needs and provides social, pastoral and SEN support for children and families.

Wendy Clark and Bethany Clarey are both trained Mental Health First Aiders.

We work closely with CAMHS to provide the support and help our young people may need.  Any assessments or work carried out will be supported in school and may be used for future planning and transitions for the child.

We work with Mental Health nurses and Durham County’s EWEL team and are we are currently part of the Mental Health Trailblazer team.

We hold TAF’s for families where appropriate to help to gain the right support.
